When you acquire the laptop battery, it is discharged, so you should charge it and only then use it. If you stored the battery for a long time and have just started using it, then perform two or three cycles of charge and discharge in order to increase the capacity of the notebook battery. In case you do not use the battery within a month, put it away from the device to keep in a cool place. It must be also clean and the level of humidity should not be high. When you charge and discharge the laptop battery, it gets warmer. The charge will be lost gradually with time. Therefore you should not be surprised that after long storage it is required to charge the notebook battery again.

The battery can be damaged by short-circuit. Never drop the laptop battery, do not hit it or bring harm to it exposing corrosive cell contents. Moisture and rain is bad for battery the same way as the heat. When it is too hot and the notebook battery is exposed to heat, it can explode.
If The Notebook Battery Does Not Charge
When notebook batteries are bought their condition is discharged. Charge it first and then use it. We usually advise to do it one day before use or about 12 hours. Read the manual to do everything right. When laptop batteries are rechargeable enhance the capacity by means of charge-discharge cycles. Do it up to 4 times and this will contribute to the battery capacity.
It is difficult to charge new laptop batteries as they have not been charged before. At times the charger does not charge the battery. Then take the notebook battery out and insert it once again. It will start the cycle of charge. It will probably require a number of times when you charge the laptop battery first.
How Long Will The Laptop Battery Work?
The durability of the laptop battery life varies from 500 to 800 charging cycles, which is considered to be a norm. This means that you will use it for a year and a half the least or about three years in general. When the notebook battery starts dying, it will be noticed at once. The time of work will reduce greatly and this will indicate that it needs recharging. If you have a 2-hour battery, but it provides only one hour of work, that means that the notebook battery needs recharging. |
